This policy describes the current version of SmartTools Hub, an informational website offering browser-based calculators, a word counter, an image resizer, educational guides and a currency converter. It explains what happens when you visit or use the site.
1. Information you choose to send us
The current Contact page displays an email address for enquiries. We do not currently provide an on-site contact form, user account, registration, comments area or payment facility. If you email us, we receive the email address and any information you include in your message. We use it to read and respond to your enquiry and to address reported site problems. Please do not email passwords, payment-card details or other sensitive information.
We keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, maintain relevant business records or meet legal obligations, then delete it when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable law and routine email-provider backups.
2. Calculator and image data
The profit, percentage, discount, loan and age calculators, the word counter and the image resizer run in your browser. The values and text you enter into these tools are processed on your device by the website code; the tools do not intentionally send those entries to a SmartTools Hub application server or store them in a SmartTools Hub account. The image resizer uses your browser to read the selected image and create a resized download. No user account or cloud image-storage feature is provided.
Your browser, device, extensions or operating system may have their own settings and data-handling practices. Avoid using public or shared devices for confidential material, and do not enter information you would not want processed by your own device or browser.
3. Currency converter and third-party services
The currency converter requests indicative exchange-rate data from the Frankfurter public API. When you use it, the request includes the amount and the selected source and target currency codes in the request URL. As with ordinary internet requests, the API provider and network infrastructure may also receive technical connection information such as your IP address, browser request headers and the time of the request. SmartTools Hub does not control the provider's handling of that information. Please review the provider's own information before using the converter: Frankfurter API.
The converter is optional. The other tools do not need this currency API to perform their calculations.
4. Hosting, server logs and security
SmartTools Hub is designed as a static website. The hosting company used to publish the site may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information and security or error logs. The exact information, retention period and processing location depend on the hosting provider and its configuration. Check the privacy policy and settings of the hosting service you choose (for example, GitHub Pages or Vercel) before publishing.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
At the time this policy was written, the website code supplied in this project does not include Google AdSense, another advertising network, a site analytics product, an account system, or code that intentionally sets SmartTools Hub cookies or uses local storage for tracking. Your hosting provider or third-party services may nevertheless use their own technical mechanisms as described in their policies.
If advertising, analytics, embedded content or other tracking technologies are added later, this policy must be updated before they are activated to identify the providers, explain the data and technologies involved, and describe any choices or consent mechanisms required by applicable law.
6. Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose not to use the currency converter or not to send us an email. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser, although browser controls may not affect all technical processing by hosting or third-party providers. 7. Children
SmartTools Hub is a general-purpose information and tools website and is not designed to request personal information from children. The site does not currently offer child accounts or a child-directed service.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, its providers or applicable requirements change. The date at the top indicates when the policy was last reviewed. Please check this page periodically.
